About Us

Legacy was launched in 1994 during a spinoff of the computer revolution – desktop publishing. It meant that fewer people with proper training could handle more aspects of publishing than ever before. Specialty companies that assisted publishers grew obsolete; offices full of employees with gigantic machinery shrank, and projects that used to take months could now be completed in days.

But two unfortunate things happened during this era – employees lost jobs, and the savings that publishers netted were never passed on to the customers. Legacy was founded on the belief that big publishing company owners shouldn’t be the only ones to benefit from the changes in technology, so we started Legacy.

All these years later, Legacy’s clients, as well as those who work with us, now share that belief - that we all can benefit from a new way of doing things. The bad old days of office politics and working through the chain of command have been replaced with simpler, more effective communication at every level. A media company, after all, should specialize in communicating.

We’ve also branched out in what we do and added producing events to the services we offer. We currently produce the NM Wedding Expo, Northern NM Wedding Expo and the NM Children’s Fair.
